Bactrian Bronze Griffin Amulet

Description

Beautiful Bactrian bronze amulet in the form of a stylised winged Griffin. The head with raised features, surmounting the back is an extended suspension loop. The entire figure is cast in once piece in a flat form.

Circa 3rd to 2nd Millennium B.C., BMAC (Bactria-Margiana Archaeological Complex)

Object height: 8.4 cm / Width: 7.1 cm. Height on stand 13cm

Condition

Good ancient condition with slightly encrusted Verdigris surface to the bronze. Presented on a custom made stand.
