Mongolian Ordos Period Bronze Bucket Handle with Bull and figure decoration.

Description

Ancient Mongolian bronze bucket or vessel strap. Decorated with 2 bronze bulls head to each side and a worn decorative band of figures across the top. cf – British Museum No. 1950,1117.90 Bulls head horse harness applique, for like imagery.

Circa 5th to 1st Century BC Ancient Mongolia Region

Height on stand 21 cm width on stand 22 cm

Condition

Good ancient condition with wear as appropriate to age. Crack in handle at top which has been secured. Stand supports the damage. Worn patina with vedergris.
