Medieval Knight’s Bronze Horse Harness Pendant Trio

Description

A trio of bronze Medieval Knight’s horse pendants. Remains of gilt to the surface of the pendant bottom right of stand. The circular pendant has etched decorative segments to its surface. The Starburst shaped fragment has the remains of red enamel in its design. Horse pendants were a decorative item hung from the harness of horses, primarily from the breast band. They were mainly used in the Roman, early-medieval and medieval periods and usually have no function other than as decoration.

Origin

Medieval England circa 14th to 15th AD

Measurements

Circular object is 4.5cm high and the object bottom right of stand is 4.0cm wide.

Condition

All three are id distressed/fragmented condition. Circular  Presented on a custom made stand.
