Medieval Knight’s Bronze Horse Harness Pendant Pair

Description

A pair of bronze Medieval Knight’s horse pendants. Remains of gilt to the surface of the octofoil shaped pendant. The other a starburst design. Harness pendants were a decorative item hung from the harness of horses, primarily from the breast band. They were mainly used in the Roman, early-medieval and medieval periods and usually have no function other than as decoration.

Origin

Medieval England circa 14th to 15th AD

Measurements

Starburst object is 5cm high and 3.5cm wide. Height of stand 13.5cm

Condition

Both in decent condition for age with remains of gilt to one. Presented on a custom made stand.
