Luristan Bronze Horse Bit with Animal Cheek Pieces
$2,995.00
Description
A bronze straight rigid horse bit with decorative cast bronze stylized antelopes as cheek pieces. The antelopes with detailing to leg joints and neck raised eyes and ears and long curving horns. There is some discussion that these pieces could have been a funerary item and placed under the heads of the deceased as a headrest. Many that are found do have wear, indicating a utilitarian usage.
