Egyptian Turquoise Blue Faience Shabti with Hieroglyphic Text

Description

Large size Turquoise blue faience shabti New Kingdom 19th to 20th Dynasty. Rounded front with a flat back. Wearing a tripartite wig, with crossed arms and holding a hoe in each hand, cords for a water pot hanging from back of each shoulder. A seed bag suspended below the wig. Detailing with the eyes, eyebrows, mouth etc outlined in black. The hieroglyph partially reads “The Osiris…..” Old repair to upper body areas. Cf. Condition

Good ancient condition with repair to break in upper body. Great colouring with remains of earth encrustation stains. Presented on a custom made stand.
