Description

An interesting collection of bronze pieces (bracteates) mounted on a later but still extremely old piece of leather. From the ancient German migration period circa 5th to 7th century AD. Large disc in the middle of the object appears to be an ancient bronze mirror disc. Likely to have been a burial find with pieces attached to later leather in form they were found. Would have been attached to a belt or leather jacket possibly.
