Ancient Greek Apulian Redware Lekanis. Complete footed body with two horizontal handles. Complete lid with decorated finial. Classical piece of Greek pottery with a “lady of Fashion” holding a mirror and a nude male wine drinker.

Magna Graecia. Sothern Italy circa 350 BC

Handle to handle width 27cm. Circumference of body of bowl 16cm. Height 14cm

Condition

Good ancient condition. The lid is not quite a perfect fit but decent fitting overall. Often when these items were found in the past, lids and bodies of pots may have been mismatched due to broken or missing pieces.
